Q: Can I play RBdigital streaming videos at an event?

Does the streaming video content through RBdigital have Public Performance Rights?

All of the streaming video services through RBdigital have Public Performance Rights (PPRs). Viewing films in a group forum is permitted for all films for classroom viewings and most non-classroom group settings as long as the viewing is by library patrons and it is not for commercial benefit (i.e. no admission costs are charged and no profit is made from the screening).

Anyone with a library card can show it it inside or outside of the library for their own public performance as long as no one can charge a fee to patrons or audience members viewing the video.

You can always contact RBdigital directly to get written permission that a specific film is available for a showing to a group forum.
