Q: How can I see which magazines are available at a particular Library location?

Our periodicals are listed in our catalog, and there are at least a couple ways to see what's where:

Browse by format and location

  1. From www.jocolibrary.org, click the Search button to get to the catalog, then at the top right go to Advanced Search. Alternatively, you can go directly to https://jocolibrary.bibliocommons.com/search.
  2. Near the bottom, under the Format section, check the box by Magazine or Journal, then Search.
  3. There are two ways to see location availability.
    • On the left of the results page under Available Now, choose a location. Note that "available now" includes titles that are both ready for checkout and for in-library use only.
    • For a given title, to see which locations have it, select View details by the availability note accessed directly from the results list.

Search by title

  1. From www.jocolibrary.org, in the search box enter a title.
  2. On the left of the results page, filter results by format: Magazine or Journal.
  3. For a given title, to see which locations have it, select View details by the availability note accessed directly from the results list.

From www.jocolibrary.org, you can also use the search box to search our Magazine List. This list includes magazines and journals that are accessible in print at our Library locations as well as publications available through our eMagazines and research databases. For physical magazines, look for titles noted as "in print." Because we have access to so many periodicals in digital format, we recommend using either of the two methods above to find physical magazines located in our Library branches.
