Q: What programs are on your public computers?

The Library provides a basic set of software programs (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher; web browsers including Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer; and VLC media player) on all public computers.

Laptops are available for cardholders to checkout and use at our Central Resource and Lenexa City Center branches. They have the same software programs as our public computers; additionally, they offer webcam access. Note: you need headphones to access the sound.

For software pertaining to various creative pursuits, check out the Black & Veatch MakerSpace at the Central Resource Library. To guarantee time using computers, equipment or the studio, make a reservation online.

The Monticello branch usually has four Mac mini computers; they are currently unavailable, estimated to return in December 2024. When available, these computers have basic software programs installed as well as Adobe Acrobat, Adobe After Effects 2024, Adobe Animate 2024, Adobe Audition 2024, Adobe Bridge 2024, Adobe Character Animator 2024, Adobe Dreamweaver 2021, Adobe Illustrator 2024, Adobe InCopy 2024, Adobe InDesign 2024, Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Photoshop 2024, Adobe Media Encoder 2024, Adobe XD, Adobe Dimension, and Adobe Premiere Pro Rush.
