There are several places around town that offer various types of meeting spaces.  Please contact individual businesses for availability and pricing.

The room can be booked for meetings after store hours. No charge, as long as a menu item is purchased. Mon, Tues & Thurs 7:00 PM on; Wed & Friday 5:00 PM on; Saturdays from 4:00 PM on, Sundays - can be used anytime, if owner is available to unlock. 

Black Dog Coffeehouse

The room can hold roughly 20-25 and is available during regular hours. Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM; Sunday, 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM.

Friends University - Lenexa Educational Center

Available 7 A.M. - 4 P.M., Monday-Friday. $150/day fee. Capacity of 40 people, room rental includes the use of tables, chairs, projector screen, whiteboard, and WiFi connection. Overhead projectors, TV/VCR/DVD are also available upon request (at no additional charge). Friends University also features an on-site business center with a fax and copy machine (fees may apply), coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave & vending machines, technology support.

Homer's Coffeehouse

Homer's offers a small meeting room, which can accomdate 8-10 people. Room can be reserved in advance. Features outlets, but no equipment. NO FEE

Hope Lodge (American Cancer Society)

The Regnier Center has multiple event spaces, most of which run from $160-$1000. Some are priced hourly, check website for more information.
The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art has 3 spaces, which run from $240-$1000. Check website for more information.

The Main location has studyrooms that seat up to 6 people and an auditorium space that can hold ~40, and can only be used by non-profits.
The West Wyandotte location has an auditorium that holds ~150, a large meeting room that holds 20, and a small room that can hold 8.

Kansas City (Missouri) Public Library
KCPL has many branches with meeting rooms. Business can also use them, for a fee. Non-profits w/ certification are free, non-profits w/o certification have a small fee. Check website for locations, policies and capacities.
KCPL also offers Special Events spaces, that can be used for a variety of uses, including weddings, receptions, private parties, meetings, etc. Check the website for pricing, capacities, policies and equipment. Merriam Visitor's Bureau

The room offers three set-ups: Boardroom - holds 24, Classroom - holds 32, Theater - holds 45. The fee is $40/hr during regular office hours; Mon-Fri 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

After hours and weekends, the fee is $60/hr. Users must call during regular hours to make an appointment. The staff also stated that it is generally for a business-type meeting - they do not accept reunions, parties, or similar types of uses. 

Olathe Public Library

Indian Creek, 12990 S. Black Bob Rd, Olathe KS, (913) 971-5235 Olathe Main has a room that can accomodate 12 people. Indian Creek location has a meeting room that can accomodate 75 people, as well as a couple of small study rooms that hold up to 8 people.
Reservations for large spaces are made for the current month plus the next two months, to be used by individuals or non-profits.
