Yes, the Library has a speakers bureau. Speakers for your organization or group are available without charge. Possible topics include:

  • Looking for something good to read?
  • Library services for teens
  • What's new in children's literature?
  • Business, career, and investment resources
  • Using cool new Web tools to save time and connect with family and friends
  • Library related careers
  • The future of libraries in the information age
  • Library services for those with special needs
  • Friends of the Library...a special support group
  • Exploring local history at Johnson County Library
  • Finding quality health information online
  • Library Reference Services and online databases
  • Volunteer Opportunities at Johnson County Library
  • Youth Outreach Services at Johnson County Library
  • General information about the Johnson County Library
  • Reading to children at an early age does make a difference
  • Behind the books and materials get onto library shelves

Programs can also be developed on other subjects to meet the needs of your group or organization. Library tours are also available.
