Answer

The Johnson County Library subscribes to Ancestry Library Edition. You can visit any Johnson County Library location to access the database with your Johnson County Library card and PIN. Most of our databases can be accessed remotely from home with your Johnson County library card and PIN. Ancestry Library Edition, however, can only be accessed in-house on our public computers.

Ancestry Library Edition differs from Ancestry.com. Ancestry.com is designed for individual subscribers so there are many personalized functions that are not available on Ancestry Library Edition.

The library also subscribes to HeritageQuest Online, American Ancestors (Central Resource Library only), Gale Genealogy Connect and America's Obituaries & Death Notices.
