Thank you for contacting Johnson County Library about the recently-announced changes in operating hours (effective April 1 – see ).  We appreciate your taking time to let us know your thoughts.

We’re grateful the Library is a valuable resource for so many in our County. The change in hours is designed to serve as many patrons as possible, and our user studies have shown us that more folks want to use the Library earlier in the day. By shifting opening and closing hours back at select locations, we have arrived at a cost-neutral solution that promises to provide many of our citizens convenient Library services.

This change could take some time to get used to, we admit. The hours change offers night-owls an opportunity to experiment with e-Services such as e-Books, e-Music, databases, Zinio e-Magazines – all available on a desk-top computer, a laptop or smart phone. Give it a try at

Thank you again for making us aware of your interest in Johnson County Library.
